10:00 PM – Mom decided to sit down on the stairs and talk. I knew I was in for some crazy stuff. I wasn’t disappointed.
1.) She thinks I’m her brother. That would make Jeremy, Chris and Troy (which she named off) her brothers also.
2.) She wondered what happened to our “group.” I tried to explain to her that there hasn’t been a group since we all lived at home back at Boner Lake, which was around 30 years ago. This is something that comes up frequently.
3.) She wondered why she was the only girl here. I tried to explain that she didn’t have any girls and besides, it was just the two of us here. This confused her and made her ask, “Do I have any kids?” Ummm, no Mom, you didn’t have any kids. She didn’t get that.
